Scott Dartnall, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist

Scott Dartnall has been a Registered Massage Therapist for 16 years. Scott has treated thousands of clients of every background, age and injury. Scott treats work and car accident injuries (MVA). His services are covered under most work insurance plans. Scott has special interest in Orthotics and the treatment of sports injuries. He also has extensive experience with sport specific and rehabilitative exercise. In addition, Scott enjoys giving relaxation treatments, which feel great and are proven to reduce stress and improve health.

Mr. Dartnall has taken part in the Niagara ½ Marathon and the 2006 'Around the Bay Road Race'. At the 2006 & 2007 Massage Canada Expo, Scott presented seminars for other RMT's. He is also an excellent resource for other Massage Therapists with his vast array of knowledge and expertise.

Scott actively volunteers in the community; coaching hockey, soccer and basketball. Scott is a resident of Stoney Creek with his wife Franca and two children Brandon and Lauren, along with dog Jake.

Michelle Gilmore, RMT, CRP
Registered Massage Therapist
Certified Reiki Practitioner

Michelle Gilmore graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and became licensed under the Regulated Health Professions Act in 2007. Having worked in the service industry for the last 17 years in a variety of fields, such as fashion and financial services, Michelle has found a home in the Health Care field.

Since entering Massage Therapy, she has had the amazing opportunity to be inspired and mentored by some of the top achievers in the industry. Michelle is driven by results and success from her clients. Inspiring others to achieve balance of the body, mind and spirit is at the forefront of her treatments. She stands for education, empowerment, and movement using an energetic approach to healthcare.

Since volunteering is a passion, Michelle has volunteered over 100 hours of massage for such events as the Weekend to End Breast Cancer, the University of Waterloo athletics department, Wellington Hospice and the MS Society. She provided relief in symptomology of tri-athletes, marathon runners and cyclists, as well as Breast Cancer survivors and Multiple Sclerosis patients.

Ms Gilmore has furthered her education in Usui style Reiki and is working on her Reiki Mastery. In the near future, she intends to obtain her diploma in Osteopathic Medicine.

As the founder of NRG-n-Motion, a foundation dedicated to those suffering with AIDS in Africa, a portion of all her services will be dedicated to this cause. Michelle is thrilled to be working with the entreprenuerial stylings of the Family Massage Therapy and One Planet One Solution team.

Andrea Rees, RMT (photo to follow)

  Andrea graduated form Career Canada College in Hamilton, Ontario with a diploma in Dental Assisting.  After upgrading her studies at Western University, she became a Preventive Dental Assistant and was a CDA/PDA from 1985-2001.  Andrea went to D'arcy Lane Institute in London, Ontario in Sept. 2000 and has received a diploma in Massage and Hot Stone Therapy.  She has been registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since September 2002 and her primary place of practice resides in Hamilton, Ontario at Family Massage Therapy's Mohawk Road East Location.

Jane Vandrus has been in the healing field for 20 years. She is an experienced and dedicated healer, intuitive and spiritual educator. Jane specializes in Reflexology, Numerology, Angel cards, Meditation/Law of Attraction; Personal awareness development is a Reiki Master and hosts numerous types of workshops.

Jane started her business (Healing Soles Inc.) in 2000 as a result of her own passion for uncovering life's purpose through spiritual awareness. Her desire to share her knowledge and gifts with others to assist them in living consciously within their own unique paths is second to none.

Jane is happily married to her wonderful husband of 16 years, living in their home in the country surrounded by nature. "I have always had a love for nature; the simplicity it shares with the world can be a cherished mentor for our own way of living".

In her work she is empathetic, using her intuition and ability to connect with her client's spirit guides and angels, to assist her in providing the tools needed to help each person uncover a deeper meaning of their own mind and heart's inner workings. She also strives to have a more powerful sense of self and create a knowing of harmony and inner peace within the body, mind and spirit. “Enjoy forever changing, growing and evolving in my own work, taking time for me to reflect and to share this expression of myself with the world."

After a session with Jane, clients feel an increase in energy, a greater connection to their spirit, in living in alignment with their own truths, and the feeling of lightness and a deeper state of relaxation.

Karen J Moore (photo to follow)

Karen J Moore has lived in the Hamilton area since 1970. Originally from New Brunswick she considers Hamilton home. She loves going to the Ti-Cat games with Ron who has taught her much about the game. Karen enjoys spending time with her family and friends and Jag their black cat.

Karen has been an aesthetician for 20 years. She is a licensed hairstylist, but prefers the aesthetics much more. Her considerable experience in the beauty field is applied to the services she performs, where she enjoys making people look and feel good about them. Karen's aesthetic experience includes facials, manicures, pedicures, sugaring and waxing (hair removal), and body treatments. Karen adds her specialties of Swedish massage, Hot Stone Massage, Thai Stem Massage, Electrolysis, Permanent Make-up, Lash and Brow tinting, and Ear Candling.

Although Karen is widely trained in artificial nail systems, such as Acrylic nails, Fibreglass gel nails, Bio Sculpture gel nails and more, she prefers the Calgel Nail System. The Calgel Nail System is much gentler to the natural nail; this system is very natural looking. Karen is also an instructor of the Calgel Nail System for the Beauty Professionals.

She enjoys being part of the Team of Family Massage Therapy.

Annette Fitterer-Winter, B.Sc., RMT, Di HOM

Annette has been a Registered Massage Therapist for over 16 years. Her love of education allowed her to earn a Bachelor degree in Biology from McMaster University and a diploma in Homeopathy from the British Institute in Homeopathy.

Over the course of her career, she has had the opportunity to work with people in clinical, educational and business environments. Annette owned and operated a successful Massage Therapy business that employed three other Massage Therapists for ten years, which she sold when she gave birth to twin girls. As the former department head of Clinical Sciences and Program Director at a private College, Annette has had the opportunity to gain a lot of experience in teaching strategies for adult learners, as well as course and curriculum development and research. Annette worked her way up the corporate ladder to become the Dean at the private College where she managed and inspired a team of 4 program directors and 20-30 faculty members. As a Practical Instructor for over 11 years, her passion for educating others is evident.

Annette has taken on the new challenge of facilitating the Education Center at Family Massage Therapy and One Planet One Solution. We are excited to have her on board!
